Fieldwork for Study of Inclusion Aspects in Forecast-Based Budgeting Planning System in Social Protection Programs Applicable in Indonesia

CARI! is currently supporting Arbeiter Samariter-Bund (ASB) Indonesia and the Philippines in conducting a Study of Inclusion Aspects in Forecast-Based Budgeting Planning System in Social Protection Programs Applicable in Indonesia, a part of the Program for Implementing Humanitarian Inclusion Standards and Guidelines in Disaster Preparedness through Institutional Capacity Strengthening (PASTI Program).

This study aims to review government regulations and policies related to budget planning, review the system and planning strategy for social protection program budgeting implemented by the national and regional governments, and provide recommendations on the potential of developing a forecast-based budgeting planning system to implement inclusive social protection programs

As part of the study, on May 22-26, 2023, CARI! conducted fieldwork in South Lampung. CARI! interviewed various key informants and stakeholders, including regional government organizations and people with disability in Way Muli and East Way Muli Villages. CARI! also observed the inclusivity of public facilities in the two villages.
