CARI! supported Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) for Baseline Disaster Risk Assessment in Coastal Areas of Indonesia for Insurance Program Piloting in 2021. This is a part of feasibility study to develop coral reef insurance scheme in seven areas, namely Pandeglang – Banten, Rote – East Nusa Tenggara, Berau – East Kalimantan, Makassar – South Sulawesi, Raja Ampat – West Papua, Klungkung – Bali, and Wakatobi – Southeast Sulawesi. This study aimed to identify disaster risk, including natural and anthropogenic hazards in those areas and to assess the risk and damage caused by such hazards. CARI! was involved to produce disaster risk assessment report and disaster risk map.
