Following the vulnerability assessment in Indonesia’s coastal areas, CARI! was involved in the development of integrating Nature-based Solutions into DRR and CCA in Indonesia with The Nature Conservancy (TNC), YKAN, and the Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID/OFDA). The primary objective of this project is to build awareness of nature-based solutions (NbS) so that coastal communities become more climate resilient against hydro-meteorological hazards by incorporating NbS into their climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction planning. This project produced several outputs; 1) desktop research, 2) key stakeholders interviews and consultation at the sub-national level. 3) NbS in climate change policy awareness and validation workshop, and 4) a final report.
