CARI! is involved in developing SOPs on Emergency Operation Centre and National and Local Response Preparedness in Lao PDR. The SOP aims to guide humanitarian actors to work seamlessly in response operations to deliver services to disaster-affected communities. These SOPs will be used primarily by the Secretariat of the Disaster Management Committee at the national and sub-national levels, relevant ministries, and humanitarian actors participating in the multi-agency disaster response operations.

This exercise is aiming at supporting the SWD-MoLSW of Lao PDR in delivering effective and timely action in disaster response through the development of 2 (two) critical documents, which are the Standard Operating Procedure of the National Emergency Operations Centre and the Standard Operating Procedure on National and Local Emergency Preparedness for Effective Response.
