CARI! supported UNICEF in strengthening the Government of Indonesia’s emergency preparedness and response for nutrition at the national and sub national level, through the development of a sub-national Nutrition in Emergency (NiE) contingency plan and the ensurance of synergies and complementarity of contingency plan issued by the local government. Activities done for this initiative include: 1) supporting sub-national level in the development of selected UNICEF supported district’s contingency plan and the simulation exercise, 2) supporting the preparation and roll-out of NiE Training at the province and district levels, 3) developing simplified booklet on NiE and disability, and 4) supporting UNICEF emergency preparedness and response.
