Disaster and Climate Change Behavior Change Communication (BCC) Study
2021
In 2021, CARI! supported American Red Cross and Indonesian Red Cross in conducting Disaster and Climate Behavior Change Communication Study and Strategy for communities in two watershed areas. Building community preparedness in dealing with disaster risks and the impacts of climate change requires a continuous exchange of information. So that the most vulnerable communities have strategies and can take the best preventive actions. This can be done through behavior change communication (BCC). Solid scientific evidence is needed to formulate strategies and actions in the BCC. Therefore, CARI! supported American Red Cross and Indonesian Red Cross to conduct behavior change communication studies to explore the community's motivation, intentions, opportunities, and capabilities in building preparedness for disaster risk and the impact of climate change.
