This paper summarises the findings of two field trips to the Aceh Province, which were made by the authors, in early 2006 and late 2007. The purpose of the trips was to assess and provide guidance to the rebuilding process following the 26 December 2004 earthquake and tsunami. The paper will discuss the key issues raised and show how the various agencies involved in the rebuilding process have met the challenges encountered. Show More
